PREFACE: The Pasadena Star News rejected running a story on the voter fraud complaint filed below on the basis that it was hearsay. Dr. Jeanette Mann admitted in a public voter forum at PCC on Oct. 31 that her adult non-resident children were registered to vote here using a Pasadena address in apparent violation of the law. And the voter registration record is a matter of public information not hearsay. We will let you judge why the Star News rejected this as a news story. It is impossible in Pasadena to get fair newspaper coverage for any candidate outside the Democratic Party.

Subject: Report of Possible Voter Fraud by Public Official Jeanette Mann
Mr. Demerjian:
I have a situation involving possible voter fraud conducted by a public official that needs your attention. Incidentally, I contacted my brother for assistance in this matter as he is a deputy district attorney and he directed me to you.
This is a report of possible voter fraud committed by Jeanette Mann, currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pasadena Area Community College District.
Voter registration files indicate that Jeanette Mann has allowed two of her adult children (who do not live in Pasadena) to register to vote and cast ballots at Jeanette Mann's home address in Pasadena.
Jeanette Mann resides at 2195 E Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104.
Records indicate that her son, Stephen Mann, who has been a resident of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada for many years and teaches college there is not only registered to vote at Jeanette Mann's Pasadena home address but has in fact cast an absentee ballot in local elections on at least 6 occasions. Stephen Mann is not a resident of Pasadena and should not be voting in its elections. He has also apparently routinely voted in state elections for the last 10 years even though he is not a resident of California.
Records also indicate that Jeanette Mann's daughter, Kathryn Mann, who is apparently a resident of Chicago for many years is not only registered to vote at Jeanette Mann's Pasadena home address but has in fact cast an absentee ballot in local elections on at least 13 occasions. Kathryn Mann is not a resident of Pasadena and should not be voting in its elections. She has also routinely voted in state elections for the last 10 years even though she is not a resident of California.
Further, since the ballots are mailed to Jeanette Mann's home and the adult children are not present in the home it appears at least possible that the ballots may have been cast by someone other than the registered voter.
Please investigate this matter.
Sincerely,
Brian Fuller

Obviously it doesn't come as a big shock to regular readers of the Star-News that a newsworthy story about apparent voter cheating by an INCUMBENT Democratic candidate running for PCC Board is completely ignored while less serious and less relevant negative stories about Republican candidates who are apparently considered a threat to the status quo are covered repeatedly and in depth.
But then again it's probably foolish to expect more from a newspaper whose #2 and #3 front-page on-line stories this morning were "Lindsay Lohan returns to court, may return to jail" and "Kardashian apologizes to fans for failed marriage"

"Our message is to contrast our community's need for infrastructure which keeps us safe against the failure of the top 1% in this country to pay their fair share towards this. We want to change the conversation in this country from solutions revolving around austerity to solutions revolving around raising taxes on the wealthy to pay their fair share."
