See two charts below. Top chart shows air temperature and CO2 trend since 1995. The second chart below shows water storage along the Colorado River in Lakes Mead and Powell from 1941. There appears to be a rough correlation between global warming and more water storage along the Colorado River. We are now experiencing cooler average temperatures and a drought. The charts below are only suggestive and should not be construed as valid science. See below:

A more compelling link would need a time-series of abstractions from the storage lakes as well as of some drought metric, say the Palmer drought severity index. To make your case, you need to first eliminate the role of abstractions.
