Attached, and typed below, is the BOE's draft "Vision for 2020."
Even though the present BOE won't be around in 2020 and the public
would rather have a vision for 2009/12, here's their draft "Vision
2020," mostly PEF rubbish:
"Pasadena Unified School District
is recognized internationally as a leader in public education. Our
student-centered teaching methods, effective systems, and models of
partnership enable us to engage our students in enriched and relevant
learning experiences. All students graduate prepared to excel in a
rapidly changing world."
The BOE, in the attached document, also declares it's VALUES -
"transparency, equity, accountability, collaboration, honoring our fiscal responsibility."
How about the BOE's commitment to TRANSPARENCY?
"We say what we mean and do what we say."
How about the BOE's commitment to ACCOUNTABILITY?
"We take responsibility for our actions, decisions and outcomes."
How about the BOE's commitment to "FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY?
"We maintain the public trust by providing high quality services
and by using our resources prudently, efficiently and equitable (sic)."
Are these values also "visioned" for 2020?
Or can we expect them immediately?
