Jesus was born in a barn but even he warned to be "wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove." Most of us were born in a modern hospital, went to modern schools, have TV and internet access, and yet we cannot read "the signs of the times."
Prediction: California's seemingly never-ending budget crisis won't end until after the November election. Democrats must keep the mind of the public on an October Surprise of a concocted budget and economic crisis in order to win the national election - as if California was in play in the first place. The reality is that there is no budget crisis other than that created by the legislature. But don't look in your local newspaper to find this out. Read here how Governor is going to call an "emergency" session of the legislature to once again patch up the black hole state budget which continues to suck everything into it:
Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 16, verses 1-4 Paraphrased:
The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven. He replied, "When evening comes, you say, `It will be a fair stock market, for the balance sheet is black,' and in the morning, `Today it will be stormy, for the stock market is red and bearish.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the stock market, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away. (Matthew 16:1-4)
